Radanvarsi-festivaalin kestosuosikki on nyt isompi, kuin koskaan! Varietee- ilta tulee jälleen sisältämään huikeita sirkusnumeroita, niin ilmassa, kuin maassakin. Mutta tänä vuonna saamme nauttia isommasta lavasta ja katsomosta, kun ilta vietetään Barker teatterin uudessa tilassa Linnankadulla. Lavalla nähdään mm. taikuutta, ilma-akrobatiaa, jongleerausta, päälläseisontaa, vipulauta, nuorallatanssia ja paljon muuta!

The enduring favorite of the Radanvarsi festival is now bigger than ever! The Varietee- night will once again include amazing circus acts, both in the air and on the ground. But this year we get to enjoy a bigger stage and audience space when the evening is spent in the Barker theater's new space on Linnankatu. On the stage you will see e.g. magic, aerial acrobatics, juggling, headstanging, tightrope and much more!
Sirkus Supiainen: Citroën Jumper - Varietee-illan etkot klo 18.00
"Ulkoilmaesitys autolle ja yhdelle sirkustaiteilijalle"
Myyttinen monien tarinoiden Citroën Jumper -kulkupeli saapuu seikkailuillaan paikalle ja päräyttää käyntiin uskomattoman yhden miehen sirkusspektaakkelin. Tässä ei lavasteita tarvita, kun kerran todellisuus on läsnä. Esityksen lopussa sirkussankari ratsastaa ’Jolly’ Jumperillaan auringonlaskuun ja pakokaasun savukiehkurat muodostavat mielikuviimme tekstin the End.
Esitys on maksuton, mutta yleisö voi halutessaan tehdä lahjoituksen esiintyjälle "hattuun".

"Outdoor performance for a car and one circus artist"
The legendary Citroën Jumper transport game with many stories arrives with its adventures and starts an incredible one-man circus spectacle. There is no need for sets here, once reality is present. At the end of the performance, the circus hero rides his 'Jolly' Jumper into the sunset and the smoke curls from the exhaust form the text the End in our imaginations.
The performance is free of charge, but the audience can make a donation to the performer "in the hat" if they wish.
Kalle Lehto - Ring Ding Dong - Varietee-ilta
Ring ding dong - rengasjongleerausnumero on remake Lehdon taiteellisesta opinnäytetyöstä Turun Ammattikorkeakoulun sirkuslinjalta vuodelta 2008. Raisiosta kotoisin oleva Lehto on yksi nykysirkusryhmä Race Horse Companyn perustajajäsenistä ja taiteellisista johtajista. Hänelle on myönnetty töistään Sirkustaiteen valtionpalkinto, Sirkuksen Lumo -palkinto sekä Lasten ja nuorten teatteripalkinto.

Ring Ding Dong - ring juggling number is a remake of Lehto's artistic thesis from Turku University of Applied Sciences' circus line from 2008. Lehto from Raisio is one of the founding members and artistic directors of the contemporary circus group Race Horse Company. For his work, he has been awarded the State Prize for Circus Art, the Circus Lumo Award and the Theater Award for Children and Youth.

Hannu Juntunen - Nothing up my sleeves - Varietee-ilta
Jotain uutta, jotain vanhaa ja hetkeksi unohduksiin jäänyttä uusvanhaa. Taikuuden klassikoita uudistettuina versioina koottuna yhdeksi varieteetyyliseksi numeroksi. Sorminäppäryyteen perustuvaan manipulaatiotaikuuteen erikoistunut Hannu Juntunen on vuoden 2021 taikuuden Euroopan mestaruus -hopeamitalisti (FISM) ja maailmalla arvostetun Bacchetta Magica d"Oro -palkinnon voittaja. Hän on esiintynyt taidoillaan ympäri maailmaa.

Something new, something old and something new that has been forgotten for a while. The classics of magic in renewed versions compiled into one variety-style issue. Hannu Juntunen, who specializes in manipulation magic based on finger dexterity, is the 2021 European Magic Championship silver medalist (FISM) and the winner of the world-renowned Bacchetta Magica d"Oro award. He has performed his skills all over the world.

Suomen värikkäimmän sirkusduon vauhdikas vipulautanumero, josta ei puutu vauhtia ja vaaratilanteita. Numero on muokattu osa ryhmän TT-1000 - katusirkusesityksestä, joka nähdään useassa eri tapahtumassa Turussa tänä kesänä.

A fast-paced number by Finland's most colorful circus duo, which does not lack speed and dangerous situations. The number is a modified part of the groups TT-1000's street circus performance, which will be seen at several different events in Turku this summer.

Vilma Turku aerial acrobatics solo with cloths. In the show, the viewer can join a dreamlike bubble. Inside the bubble, time is different and the movement is like a dripping, oozing and draining liquid. What if its way is cut off? Fortunately, there are enough routes to drive.
José Valencia - The head balancer machine - Varietee-ilta
José Valencia on kansainvälisesti tunnettu sirkustaiteilija, joka on yhdistänyt kaksi sirkuksen alalajia toisiinsa: päälläseisonnan ja jongleerauksen. Onko se edes mahdollista? Esityksessään José tarjoaa yleisölle unohtumattomia temppuja jongleeraten pää alaspäin.
José valmistui sirkusartistiksi vuonna 2008 Escuela Nacional Circo Para Todos -sirkuskoulusta kotimaassaan Kolumbiassa. Siitä lähtien hän on kiertänyt maailmaa ohjelmanumeroillaan. Hän on erikoistunut Washington Trapezeen ja käsilläseisontaan.

José Valencia is an internationally known circus artist who has combined two circus sub-disciplines: headstanding and juggling. Is that even possible? In his performance, José offers the audience unforgettable tricks while juggling with his head down. José graduated as a circus artist in 2008 from the Escuela Nacional Circo Para Todos circus school in his home country of Colombia. Since then, he has toured the world with his show numbers. He specializes in Washington Trapeze and handstand.

Katarina Suviniitty - The Summerfield - Varietee-ilta
Swing-musiikin rytmittämä nuorallatanssiteos, jossa esitellään nopeaa jalkatekniikkaa ja iloittelevaa tanssia. Teoksen rakenteessa alkusoitto tapahtuu lattiatasolla tanssien, josta nuorallatanssija siirtyy rauhalliseen B-osaan. Viipyilevät venytykset kiihtyvät mukaansatempaavaan C-osaan, joka saa myös yleisön hytkymään paikallaan.

A rope dance piece to the rhythm of swing music, which showcases fast footwork and joyful dance. In the structure of the work, the prelude takes place on the floor level with dancing, from where the tightrope dancer moves to the calm B part. Lingering stretches accelerate into a captivating C-section, which also makes the audience jump in their seats.

Varietee-illan juontaa Sampo Kurppa
The Presenter of The Varietee-night in Sampo Kurppa
Sampo Kurpan taiteelliset juuret ovat sirkustaiteessa. 2000-2005 Kurppa opiskeli Turun Taideakatemiassa sirkustaiteilijaksi päälajinaan jongleeraus. Valmistumisen jälkeen hän on työskennellyt kansainvälisesti jonglöörinä, klovnina, näyttelijänä, ohjaajana ja opettajana. 2007-2008 Kurppa lähti syventämään ammattitaitoaan Jacques Lecoqin kansainväliseen teatteri kouluun (École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq) Pariisiin, Ranskaan. 2015 hän syvensi komediallista osaamistaan osallistumalla Giovanni Fusettin kuukauden mittaiselle klovneria kurssille Coloradossa. Kurppa on sirkus- ja musiikkiyhdistys Agit-Cirk:n jäsen ja fyysisen teatterin ja klovnerian yhdistyksen Kallo Collectiven perustajajäsen.
Juontojen ohella yleisö pääsee nauttimaan myös Sampon esiintymisestä.

Sampo Kurpa's artistic roots are in circus art. 2000-2005 Kurppa studied at the Turku Academy of Arts to become a circus artist, majoring in juggling. After graduation, he has worked internationally as a juggler, clown, actor, director and teacher. 2007-2008 Kurppa went to deepen his professional skills at the Jacques Lecoq International Theater School (École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq) in Paris, France. In 2015, he deepened his comedic skills by participating in Giovanni Fusetti's month-long clown course in Colorado. Kurppa is a member of the circus and music association Agit-Cirk and a founding member of Kallo Collective, an association of physical theater and clowning.
Along with presenting, the audience can also enjoy Sampo's performance.
